The 2nd Mate/Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO) operates the automated and fixed station keeping system of the vessel and stands navigation watch as required.

Primary Job Functions:


* Ensures all navigation operations are carried out in accordance to Frontier Drilling's policies and procedures.
* Operates dynamic positioning (DP) equipment under the direction of the Chief Mate.
* Assists in maintaining rig stability and position, including draft, trim and heel, as needed.
* Assists in the setup of the DP system operational parameters.
* Assists in performing preventive maintenance on DP equipment.
* Assists with running and maintaining records for hydrophones and beacons.
* Ensures there is adequate power and reserves of power for the maintenance of position and operations.
* Ensures that all defects and anomalies are reported to the Chief Mate and relevant department heads.
* Assists in training of crewmembers in fire fighting, safety and deck operations.


Education:


* High school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Work experience and demonstrated ability of oral and written communications may be substituted in lieu of formal education.


Professional Experience:


* Must have a minimum of two years experience as a 2nd Mate/DPO on a vessel outside of the drilling industry or six months experience as 2nd Mate/DPO with another drilling contractor on a deepwater vessel or one or more years experience as 3rd Mate/ ADPO with Frontier Drilling.


Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, Training and other Requirements:


* Valid and current BOSIET certificate.
* Valid Unlimited 2nd Mate National license or equivalent.
* Valid Dynamic Positioning Operator's certificates.
* Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates.
* Valid GMDSS Radio Operator License.
* Must have advanced safety knowledge.
* Must have advanced offshore DP knowledge.
* Must have advanced navigation and stability knowledge.
* Ability to work 12 hour shifts, or perhaps longer, as circumstances dictate.
* Must be able to work without constant supervision.
* Training as required for position as per Frontier Drilling's Training Matrix and as per maritime flag state requirements.

Ship Inspection Reports (SIRE) accreditation and/or Certified International Safety Management (ISM) Lead Auditor would be an advantage

Position to report: HSE Superintendents, with direct link to Site HSE Manager.


JOB DIMENSIONS:
- HSE supervision of Construction, Production, Maintenance, Logistics, TVX on daily activities and during the SIMOPS on all Kharyaga Pads and Kharyaga vicinities.
- HSE supervision of all Well Services operations and activities on all Kharyaga remote Pads.
- To ensure a proper implementation of the TEPR HSE Statement.

Number of subordinates: Zero
Rotational basis: 4x4 weeks

Job description ACTIVITIES:
- Supervise Construction, Production, Maintenance, Logistics and TVX operations and activities in Kharyaga pads and Kharyaga vicinities in order to verify compliance of TEPR HSE standing instructions and procedures. Perform supervisory duty at the level established by his hierarchy.
- Supervise Well Services Operations and activities in Kharyaga pads in order to verify compliance of TEPR HSE standing instructions and procedures. Perform supervisory duty at the level established by his hierarchy.
- To get information on daily basis from the other HSE members working on the Pads for the others Departments as Drilling.
- Perform, in a regular basis, Safety & Health inspections as part of the TEPR HSE policy.
- Perform weekly and monthly inspections of all safety & health equipments and ensure that they are fully operative at all time.
- Perform inspection of OSR kits and ensure that they are full equipped with all required sorbent materials and tools to be used in case of Oil spillages.
- Perform daily/weekly Toolbox meeting regarding safety & health issues in order to increase the safety awareness of the TEPR and contractors working on sites.
- Participate in HSE Monthly meetings on site.
- Participate in any other HSE meetings when necessary.
- Ensure that all TEPR and Contractor personnel working on Kharyaga pads and Kharyaga vicinities are wearing the appropriate PPE and that it is used properly.
- Coordinate with the Site Doctor in order to keep all First aid stations on Kharyaga remote pads proper equipped.
- Perform Safety & Health Training for all TEPR and Contractor personnel working on Kharyaga Site.
- Perform PtW training for TEPR and Contractor personnel. The HSE Supervisorr could be assigned as HSE Authority for Kharyaga remote pads in particular cases, as per Site Management decisions.
- Verify the proper implementation of TEPR PtW system on each Remote Pad.
- Ensure that all necessary gas check is performed if it is indicated as Safety precautions on the PtW form.
- Ensure the proper implementation and compliance of TEPR H2S Policy.
- Ensure the proper follow up / inspection of all H2S Escape masks, Portable Gas detectors, Gas Beacons.
- Perform training to TEPR and Contractors personnel working on Kharyaga Site regarding TEPR Anomaly Cards reporting system and ensure the implementation and participation of all personnel on remote pads. Keep update the Anomaly card database and follow up pending actions close out.
- Supervise and monitoring lifting operations carry out on Kharyaga remote pads and ensure that all lifting gears and equipment have been correctly inspected and certified before start any lifting / offloading of materials.
- Ensure that all Gas cylinders storage areas in Kharyaga remote pads are properly defined and are in compliance with TEPR HSE procedures and RF regulations.
- Perform Monthly Portable Fire extinguishers inspections on each Kharyaga remote pads and ensure that are fully operative and kept in good conditions.
- Inform to Maintenance department of any disability of the fire and gas detection system on remote pads.
- Participate as Fire & Rescue Team member – squad leader during emergencies exercises or real emergencies on remote pads.
- Perform maintenance and testing of Breathing Apparatus. Perform on site SCBA training for operators or contractors personnel.
- Perform weekly / monthly SCBA inspection.
- Perform, organize and participate in emergency drills, exercises and alarm testing.
- Supervise the proper disposal of hazardous / domestics wastes on Kharyaga Site.
- Ensure that all personnel arriving to Kharyaga Site already have passed the HSE Induction.
- Supervise that all jobs in Kharyaga remote pad is being performed safely and following safety practices as per TEPR HSE rules and RF regulations.
- Monitoring weather conditions (wind speed and temperatures, visibility) during execution of jobs on Kharyaga Site and inform to the concerned discipline Superintendent if there is risk of accidents.

Requirements CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT:
- Reports directly to HSE Superintendent, with direct link to HSE Site Manager
- Frequent contacts with contracting companies working on the Kharyaga facilities.
- Maintaining established procedures and specialized technical standards is required.
- All work activities are spot checked and inspected at job completion.
- Harsh Arctic conditions.
- Able to do moderate physical efforts, walking and climbing.
- Skill as a driver in artic conditions is desirable

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To ensure that all personnel working in Kharyaga facilities are proper trained in fire / safety / health / environment protection courses as needed by TEPR HSE Statement and / or as requested by their department.
- To maintain Statement in Health, Safety and Environment protection training to all Total E&P Russie employees and contractors and ensure this is carried out in an effective manner.
- To ensure accurate reporting of incidents occurred in Kharyaga remote pads in a timely manner in line with established HSE rules and regulations.
- To ensure the dissemination of safety information and feed back through proper training.

PROFILE/ QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Strong autonomy is required.
- Good communication skills needed.
- Good knowledge of RF environmental regulation.
- 5-6 years experience in environment management on site in the oil and gas industry or similar.
- Good spoken and written English mandatory.
- Driving skills and Driving license is mandatory.

Operations Superintendent - Offshore O&G

Our client who has an oil field project in Asia-Pacific is looking for an Operations Superintendent. This is going to be a permanent position.

Details are as follows:

As an experienced Operations Superintendent for major offshore projects, this individual is responsible for ensuring appropriate and timely overall operations input into the Project Engineering and Resource Development designs. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will require substantive experience in subsea engineering and operations, with an ability to optimally recover the field's hydrocarbons in the most economic and reliable manner to ensure the maximum value of the resource is achieved. The successful candidate will also lead the development of the project's operations and maintenance strategies as well as the establishment and execution of a staffing strategy for the project. Once the project design is complete and construction has begun, the successful candidate will assume preparation of commissioning procedures and operational readiness activities.


The Operations Superintendent will also provide expert input regarding offshore operations, risk identification and mitigation, safety and environment, etc. He/she will work closely with the Business Unit, delivering fit for purpose well designs and facilities within an approved budget, and will provide innovative strategies and solutions to maximize value for the Company. The Operations Superintendent will be located initially in the FEED Contractor's offices with later relocation to where the project will be managed - at this time - S.E. Asia.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Provide operations input into the project's functional and detailed design

Champion operational integrity which contains 14 elements of well-defined aims and expectations to effectively manage risks associated with the business and create a safe and secure workplace. Ensure understanding and compliance of all operational integrity objectives

Ensure appropriate operational inputs to technical, scope, cost estimate and management reviews/audits and follow up on assigned actions

Establish HSE objectives and metrics, ensuring a progressive culture is maintained towards accountability around accomplishing agreed upon targets.

Report and regularly communicate issues of critical importance to the Sr Project Manager.

Provide input to the relevant sections of the Overall Development Plan (ODP) for the project; fully support the business unit in the approval process

Manage, review and approve relevant FEED Contractor deliverables ensuring all deliverables meet operational requirements

Develop apex cost estimates for the Development as input into budgets and economic models

Provide input to the deepwater subsea facilities design and resource development strategies. Employing Husky's philosophy on asset integrity and loss prevention, ensure that operability and maintainability are incorporated in all decisions

Ensure operations is fully integrated to ensure the offshore fields are optimally developed to fully recover hydrocarbons reserves in the most economic manner, so that the development plan is fit for purpose and operationally sound

Develop site specific Operations and Maintenance philosophy and strategies

Develop Commissioning and Start-Up Procedures, manage and implement all operations readiness activities to meet first gas requirements

Develop and implement a recruiting strategy, staffing plans, budgets and, as appropriate, commence recruiting and readiness for project execution

Ensure the safety of all staff and contractors on site during operations

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

A Bachelors Degree in Engineering with either a Masters or Doctorate being considered an asset

A Professional engineering status

A minimum of 20 years experience in offshore operations management on a global basis

A minimum of 15 years experience in subsea developments and operations

An excellent, proven practical understanding of project and cost management principles and best practices

Familiarity with subsurface and reservoir engineering relating to field development

Proven track record as leader in international offshore project environment

Knowledge of up to date Risk Management practices

A minimum of 15 years experience working physically offshore in operations

A minimum of 5 years living and working outside the candidate's "home country"

Knowledge of up to date business processes and best practices as utilized in international offshore project execution

The position responsibilities will include performing testing and documenting results for various operations and functional audits and must be able to travel for up to three weeks at a time on audit assignments. Position requires a minimum of three to five years of prior audit work experience.
